I'm not sure I'd use the term 'suffer'. I like it, even though its a bit of a mind-bender sometimes! And I see why they say its addictive, but its a coping mechanism for me, it's fun, and it doesn't hurt anyone, does it? I can't do the story part as well as I used to, I kind of want more practise! :...

No, not really. I come up with more voices when I'm writing than reading. I speed read a little bit, too, not reading every word, just skimming through. That probably has something to do with it, I probably would have a voice if I actually concentrated on all the words!

I don't feel like other girls- particularly my friends. It's strange because they all see me as childish and 'innocent', they say it so much and it really annoys me. I guess that I'm thought of as childish and innocent around guys- which is weird since I'm the only one in my friend group with a boyf...

I used to hum all the time in class, when it was quiet, everyone would just look over and hear me humming or singing really quietly.

It happens a lot to me, even with my school friends. I don't know why, they don't listen to me or take my advice seriously.

I used to talk about my obsessions a lot, but people laughed at me, so I stopped. I have some friends with the same interests as me. But whenever one of my obsessesions comes up in conversation I end up holding myself back, so that I don't weird people out too much. The Weird thing is how sometimes ...

I don't know why they have it as a disorder either, as long as you know it's imaginary, why not?

It's not something that all ASD people do, it's actually a separate thing called Maldaptive Daydreaming. I do it too, but it's mainly a focus around particular characters that changes. For a few months I might have an obsession with one, then that fades, and I'lll be only thinking about another. I'm...

I think it is, maybe not common but more likely than an allistic person having it. I'm an Aspie and I have it, and I know a few more people like me, but also I know of a dreamer who isn't an Aspie.

I watched it last weekend. Absolutely amazing. :)

I could relate to him as well, but not as much. It was like he couldn't tell the difference between the daydreams and reality, so it had me thinking a lot afterwards.

I never really miss people, but I think that might be because I've been away from my family for ages once before, and being away for a few days isn't so bad now. I used to miss them heaps.

Once I got chased by a murderer in my dreams... He was after my whole family, and I was the only one freaking out, and that itself was freaky. And then there was one where aliens had taken over the world and I was one of the last free humans... And the nightmares where my friends, boyfriend, or fami...

This has nothing to do with the thread, but I actually thought your profile pic was a bug on my screen, and tried to brush it off.
