I only like being touched by certain people at certain times. If the circumstances are right, I really enjoy it. Touch is my "love language," so that's how I best like to be shown that someone loves or cares about me. But again, only specified people get to do that (my partner, other people I'm dati...

Right now I'm having problems dealing with a friend, and one friend in particular. Some of my friends have this idea that if I'm having a personal problem, I must put 100% of my effort into making it go away, and if it doesn't go away right away after they point it out, then that's entirely my fault...

Truth has it as so: No, they're all going to get overburdened eventually. Your partners (if any of them are real people) are playing the numbers game with you. You can't be poly unless you keep those numbers at greater than zero or one. They will always have at least one more slot for an occasional...

How on earth do you find the time and energy? And interest? The interest happens as most romantic interests do: by chance. I don't really go seeking people out, but I do embrace them when we happen to find each other. Time... eh, I've always been a meticulous planner. It's just a matter of using yo...

Being polyamorous and then getting involved with someone who isn't used to being so, or is more acutely monogamous seems like a nightmare to me.

Been there several times, it's pretty awful for everyone involved.

Is anyone else on here polyamorous? How does being non-NT affect that experience? For me, I think it's a lot easier to be poly and non-NT. I recognize that I'm a generally draining individual to be around at times, and having multiple relationships means, to me, that one partner isn't going to get o...

I hate group work. I used to do more than everyone else in the group, but when I realized that people were just feeding off of me for a better grade, I just stopped participating. Now I only do the bare minimum in panicked effort to not do 90% of the project myself. I'm often perceived as lazy becau...

I really love psychology and sociology (graduating with a psychology major and sociology minor in a month, in fact). I also love science in general, particularly biology and volcanology (why volcanology, I don't know, but it was an obsessive interest for like six months). If I were to go to graduate...

Since I don't have much variation in facial expression and tone of voice, my humor tends to appear very dry. People still say I'm funny all the time and laugh a lot, so I guess I'm getting my point across :D I tend to like witty and political/social types of humor. I enjoy stand up comedy from peopl...

Oh ok. :) Admittedly, I don't know why I felt like asking. But if you didn't want to answer, then hey, that's fine. :D I did want to answer, it's ok. I'm just really bad at spontaneously saying things. I much prefer when people ask me questions that I can provide direct, concrete answers to, like y...

I have all of those things, I just neglected to put them in the original post because I panic slightly on intro posts. I wear earplugs generally during the day to keep out the noise of college because it causes me a lot of anxiety. I get the obsessive interests, but they're always short lived (this ...

It's really good! I'm enjoying the class options and the crafting professions don't leave you in the lurch like other games. The character customization options are diverse (huge plus for me, I like making characters). The game also doesn't (so far) have weird screen shaking or blurring effects duri...

Does anyone else play FFXIV? I like it better than most MMOs. The people are nicer and the game forces you into group situations a lot less (you can solo any class reasonably well).

My name is Alex, and after a lot of research and introspection, I've come to the conclusion that I might be autistic. At the moment, I'm not in a position where I can seek professional diagnosis, so I'm looking for support where I can get it. A little about me: I'm 22 years old, just about to gradua...
