Sounds really typical for ASD and that's actually the conversation I JUST finished having with someone. I was politely asked if I minded talking about their issues and not just my usual ramble of a severely one-sided conversation. I definitely find that I have a hard time talking to people about thi... |

Another yes checking in here. I can agree and relate to all the comments above. Like Bodyles said if I'm in a good mood I can push through and even ignore the anxiety. I'll usually be in my own world doing it though. I look right at where I'm going or the ground and if I think someone is going to st... |

Don't get me wrong, I've heard the word used in a friendly way or to talk about a friend you know but what I'm mainly getting at is the majority of the time it's used. I know one guy who goes out of his way to make sure it doesn't come off in a down-talking way but this is not at all the case most o... |

Like Rob said, carbohydrates were the first thing that came to my mind. Also make sure your healthy eating includes a lot of variety. There are other things it could be too. Low testosterone and "over-training" came to my mind and are both related to each other. I'm going to explain it in bodybuildi... |

Thanks for the comment Kurgan. My first "client" I tried to put through the same program that I do. He wasn't able to do any of the exercises even with just body weight and said he felt like he really disappointed me! :( That was 6 months ago and I have a much better idea of what I'm doing now and h... |

Is anyone else here, or has anyone else here, thought of personal training as a career or hobby? I'm 7 months into my certification program with the exam coming up this summer. I'd like to find someone else with a type of spectrum disorder who has gone this route or at least thought of it. My bigges... |

I didn't do the poll, my answer is somewhere in between. I'm not usually a person to put someone else down and I'm definitely not someone to put myself over somebody as "better". If I tried to I would only be pretending to myself. BUT, that being said, you could say I'm hungry for "power". Not power... |

Someone told me "I know someone with aspergers and you act nothing like him, you don't have it". I hope someone says this to me again because I've been saving this in my head for whoever that person will be: "I know someone without autism and you act nothing like him, you clearly have autism". Like ... |

Maybe someone is reading this and thinking, how can you take "buddy" the wrong way? I look at that word and seeing it used at other people and think, how did they not think that was condescending? Maybe more people who I haven't cared for have used the word and that's where I'm coming from, but I'm ... |
