I went through the same cycle of obsession and at the end of it it was unnecessary. I only realized afterwards but it's the psychologists job to do the assessment not yours. It's her job to ask the questions to get the appropriate information yours is to just show up and they'll take care of everyth... |

I know in our society asking someone about sex is inappropriate so that’s what comes to my mind in regard to personal affairs. However the ‘affairs’ hints that there should be more than one so I am curious what personal affairs mean to you or in your opinion excluding sex?
Thank you. |

- Practice smiling and figure out how to apply it in a situation. I for example can struggle smiling while talking so I smile beforehand because it’s easier to retain then not. I also smile when others do. - It depends on your objective. If you want to be friends with people then yes you have to do ... |

Is that a personal or clinical question? Medication if it’s extreme. The objective is to get down to a manageable level where other tools can be utilized. My therapist has me using the 4-7-8 breath technique right now. A good portion of my anxiety comes from thoughts so after I calm down somewhat I ... |

You're hard to respond to because I don't what you want an opinion on. You listed some asd traits but what is the result of them? That is the first question a doctor will ask you; why you're seeking a diagnosis, what are you struggling with, what the problem is... you can make friends but don't know... |

Truth in this instance is what you choose to believe. If you want to learn about socializing but not do it that's a choice although I believe the point of learning something is so that you can use it and participate. If not I would question why you want to learn? Ideas or delusions? I fully admit I'... |

Right or wrong that's how he feels. You agreed to something and then changed your mind at the last moment and that hurt because he was counting on it. And he hurt you because you wanted him to understand and agree. If you want to be effective friends you have to deal with the way people feel not jus... |

Another possibility is to think about what support you can offer yourself. It’s hard to offer to other people in depression and it’s a trap to get stuck in ‘if only they’d support me’. It's a trap to get stuck in thoughts without action. Not drinking for example is a good bit of self support by not ... |

I agree you shouldn’t have to change for him. And while you say having a meaningful conversation with him is impossible I do wonder if perhaps you’re wrong. Many things can be taught to people perhaps it won’t be in your way but there are other ways to adapt. There are other forms of communication t... |

Hacking into your accounts and his other behavior is an inappropriate expression of vulnerability. Unfortunately the only time he will recognize this, if ever, is upon reflection after you leave him. It occurs when the action fails to achieve the desired result. Right now he has you and the relation... |

The best solution for relationship problems is effective communication. Be it talking or letters as has been suggested. Bluntness can be very helpful and I’m among the group who prefers written communication over verbal more likely to be successful. The one thing I would suggest however is explainin... |

You asked for scientific curiosity and that can never be wrong. Unfortunately there is a difference between a science teacher and knowing about the causes/treatments of autism. I'd suggest looking up autistic lectures on youtube quite a few by prominent researchers on their thoughts. Lots of persona... |

You felt like anything was possible before. So what do you think would have happened when you had tried these things and failed again and again and again regardless of the diagnosis. I had the opposite reaction to you because I got the diagnosis after this point in my life after failing. The point o... |

They can be both uniquely bad but generally perfume or other smells like food are worse. I find that so long as people bath they don't smell. Breath however is a problem if I get too close and they talk. |

You are correct. Isolation makes false reality extremely easy to create and believe. Reality is simply the majority perspective and if you only have your own it is quite natural to become distorted unless you have others to compare it against thus creating a collective understanding. And yes I did s... |
