I use to run in to this sort of thind when I was younger. See, what you and I see as simply stating facts, others may find offensive. I am sure you have heard others say that the truth hurts? This would be one of those cases. The reason why the person was offended and why other 'normal' people felt ...

I got turned into the family charity case and it was frowned upon when I did not act like a good little disabled person and do what they and everyone else said I should do.

I should restate some of what I said. For example, I do understand those with more severe cases to a point. I also at my age have an issue with Aspie Supremists. A long time ago, I use to be one. However as I age and get older, I look at the issues like those I listed in my rant, the difficulties I ...

I live on my own. As to how it is possible, it is not as complicated as it seems. When I first moved out years and years ago, before hand I had services. I had Social Security, Voc Rehab to help me find a part-time job, and Medicaid. Folks I knew helped me out with furniture. I made sure that all my...

When I was a child, I use to never understand why no one wanted to be friends with me. More than likely this was one of the reasons, because I did not understand that not everyone found those interests to be as interesting as me. As I got older, I stopped caring what anyone thought. I would study an...

"Prepare yourselfs..... It is rant time!! What I protest with parents of those with the more classic forms of autism is how do they know their child does not understand their own civil rights? Just because one does not communicate in a way YOU do not understand does not mean that they don't und...

Be careful with the vinegar. I tried that for a while till I found a better diet and exercise routine. Destroyed my enamel!! ! These days I focus on eating good fats like avacados, black beans, eggs, fresh fish. Focus on eating things with high protein as it gives you great energy and contributes to...

To me it seems you are falling into the pit of over analyzing. I memorized the booklet for the Driver's Permit test and then shut out everything but what the person teaching me was saying and what I was doing in the immediate moment when I was learning to drive. Don't over think it. Focus on the tas...

I am restarting services, having stopped years ago when I was making to much money and I lost Medicaid. I was re-evaluated and it was a bit traumatizing. Along with Autism I also have PTSD and along with it severe depression. Going through the past, diving into how the Autism and the PTSD play off e...
