If the religion you were taught is not working out for you seek another. There are lots of options. My wife and I (both AS) practice Paganism and it works well for us. Explore whats around you and find something that meets your needs. Good luck. |

I do get very loud and emotional meltdowns, which I try my very best to avoid, usually without successes. Extreme emotional states (particularly meltdowns) cause me intense migraines that can last for hours. No fun at all. There are other issues mixed in that complicate things. As my wife would say,... |

Always tired but it's even worse when I have to go out of the house or communicate with people. Just have had to learn to deal with it. |

I am doing well if I can tell one person apart from another... other than the most basic of traits, I usually cannot tell people apart unless I know them and if I meet someone I know in another context (say meeting a coworker at Walmart) I just will not recognize them. |

I find that in times when I am away from the NT world for long periods of time I almost lose the ability to talk. My wife and I both have AS and do not need to use much in way of verbal communication and my speaking skills suffer. I find I also lose the ability to deal with NT emotions. It is simply... |

I can pull whatever version of my real self is required out of storage. Blow off the dust, fit it on and poof, you see the real me you need to see.... I know, it's the mask thing but after 34 years or so of doing this I find it almost impossible to not do it. I always keep some buried personalities ... |

Oh gods yes! This has been a significant issue for my entire life. Sometimes there are words I just cannot say. I have a very large vocabulary because sometimes I have to find other words which mean the same as the word I cannot say. Very annoying. It's as though my vocal cords just will not respond... |

I agree. All the aspies I have met usually embrace the strange and even revel in it, myself included. We are less bothered by what society cares about! |

My wife and I have lived off and on in our RV for years. Once you get used to it it's not a bad option, and while we have a house now, the house we bought is much smaller than most homes on the market as we have gotten used to a much smaller space. Go with the flow and do your best. |
