Equally important is ensuring the written language looks nice, and accounting for sound mutations within the language. Some palatalization examples: ⟨fuse⟩→⟨fusion⟩, ⟨submit⟩→⟨submission⟩; vowel reduction examples: ⟨photograph⟩ pronounced FOH-tuh-graf (-toh-), and ⟨photography⟩ pronounced fuh-TAH-gr...

Frankly I'm going to have to agree with Kiprobalhato. It'd be a lot of work to make an alphabet and writing system that works for most of the most popular English dialects/accents. But I still love the idea of English spelling reform :D Okay, here's my go at a reform: Wat r ur thots on nglish spllng...

Some of HFA/Asperger's common symtoms might actually arise from comorbid syndromes such as GED (general anxiety disorder) or OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). I think that many aspies have an anxiety disorder. Asperger's is definitely on the autism spectrum; the DSM-5 got rid of Asperger's in fav...

I was thinking Portland when I read your post, before I even got to your list of cities. It meets all your criteria and is a great place to be. The only thing about Portland is that it doesn't have a lot of jobs. This may not matter if you're just going to school full time but should be a factor if...

One more thing that could be possible: Are you interested in warehouses or material handling? Would not see that many people. If you are interested, consider the Harrisburg area ... But it is not a good area if you want to go to a 4 year college as there really aren't any. Really I'll accept (almos...

To start things off, I think this is in the right forum. I was stuck undecided between "School and College Life" and this ("Work and fining a Job"). I am becoming a full-blown, full-grown, legal aspie in mere weeks. I want to move somewhere, problem is, I haven't got a clue to where . As a very unre...

I never did any of that stuff you said high-schoolers "should." It's not true that they should. I didn't want to, and there's nothing wrong with that. Live for yourself, not for society's warped values. Do you really want all that stuff, or do you want the social status it affords? Social status is...

It doesn't really count as Polish, but I have been trying learn Russian! From what I have read they are fairly distinct -- comparable to comparing German and Dutch. The Polish language, with its Latin script, is quite beautiful; Polish and consequently Poland has a warmer "feel" to it than most Slav...

INJT --- Introvert(78%), iNtuitive(38%), Thinking(25%), Judging(22%)

I must say that I hated most of these questions. Most of them were worded poorly or ambiguously. I couldn't even answer some of them. Whatevs.
