Thank you all so much for your responses! I'm asking some other autistic friends for input as well...hopefully I'll be able to cover as much as possible. c: Also: One of the most common and harmful myths is that people with autism do not care about anyone except themselves. Please dispel tha...

So I'm planning on doing a little zine-style comic about autism--specifically, dispelling myths and providing useful info. The only issue is, I'm not quite sure what all I should include! What are some subjects you would like me to cover? I already plan on covering special interests, stimming, socia...

I dunno about the rest of you, but I have some activities that I find incredibly soothing. Not stims (though I have those too), but just activities I find comforting. One of the most comforting things for me is puzzles of all sorts. My favorite is probably a puzzle I myself came up with--I call it a...

It's been smelling really lovely here lately too. Crisp, kind of cool but not frigid. I love fall and winter. ^^

I managed to find an affordable-but-decent-quality wig for one of my cosplays! And since I have the other two wigs I need for SacAnime, that's one thing out of the way. :D Who are you gonna cosplay as? :-) The wig in question is for Aradia Megido from Homestuck. More specifically, I'm gonna be Arad...

I have a major fabric sensitivity, myself. I absolutely cannot STAND the feel of chiffon! It makes me want to puke. :( I also hate hate hate bar soap. I have naturally dry skin, and it just makes my skin feel even drier and grosser. I'm a body wash girl exclusively, and even take a bottle with me wh...

Oh wow, I'm so glad this thread exists because I've always felt kind of alone, being both an aspie and bipolar...it's kinda nice to see I'm not the only one! (I do hope I'm not bumping too much...) I'm coming out of a pretty bad depressive episode right now. I have type II, so unfortunately those ar...

I've been doing a lot of drawing lately--which is wonderful, since my goal in life is to go into comics! :D http://40.media.tumblr.com/e0270b9d7665c5ea8cf8274af725b1eb/tumblr_nfbsok6QPP1ro8fm9o1_400.png Here's a drawing of Damara Megido, from Homestuck. I like a lot of how it came out but I'm not te...

I only have one so far, but I have a LOT more planned! http://41.media.tumblr.com/e41cc16e06ba7083d8b1fdf798bc4ed1/tumblr_mghho4TPlG1ro8fm9o1_400.jpg It's the Time Player symbol from Homestuck, and it's associated with my favorite character from the comic (Aradia, who is the girl in my avatar), who ...

Hmm. Well, I personally find that Amanda Palmer puts out a lot of really emotional stuff, and she might well be right up your alley--though she's very much an acquired taste. (She was also in a band called The Dresden Dolls earlier on; they're just as worth listening to.) I've also been enjoying Ben...

Mine are pretty obvious, although they probably seem a bit less unusual since I hang out in a lot of fandom circles. See, my special interests are centered primarily around cartoons and comics--especially Homestuck, but also many others. Since I hang out mostly with people who are also into stuff li...

It really depended on the school and on the teacher for me. At my elementary school (at least, the one I went to from 2nd to 6th grade), asking questions was generally wholeheartedly encouraged--except for in 4th grade, where my teacher often got very upset about it. One notable example was her beco...

I absolutely do! Especially at conventions--not only are video games a good way for me to decompress from sensory overload, but a lot of other people bring their 3DSes as well, so it's easy to get Streetpasses or find someone to challenge to a quick Pokemon battle or what have you. :D That reminds m...
