I know we have a large community but am i the only one feeling like somethings up? Why does it seem so many strangers are now sayin... |

I'm going to define meltdown as "An uncontrollable outward negative response to sensory stimuli." I can't speak for when I was younger, but at least right now I don't have meltdowns. When I am in public I am normally over stimulated (This is what I call it when to much stimuli is having a... |

Is it common with someone on the spectrum who has autism to eat the same foods to the point where they develop a intolerance to the food? I'm getting that problem because i live alone and i'm starting to realize the same meal for months is not a great idea. But i guess it's a stupid question that i ... |

To be fair people with ASD do this too and it's rife on this forum. If someone states something that isn't right, or an opinion based on wrong information and you correct their knowledge then people assume you are "against" them and they assume your own beliefs are the opposite of theirs.... |

People don't seem to understand me and I've recognized one of the reasons people don't seem to understand me is because when i speak i'm very factual when someone is being rude/mean i'm very fact based also and it turns into them perceiving it as a attack or me pushing them. When in reality i don't ... |

When I was younger I had a very large vocabulary as well. I used to read a lot too! :D I am interested in certain medical disorders, Stampy Cat (a Minecraft YouTuber), and the show America's Got Talent. Nowadays, my reading is restricted to these few subjects, otherwise I get bored and lose focus. ... |

Although I still managed to do very well in understanding vocabulary words and pronouncing them. Looking at some old paper work it stated at the ... |

I have this issue as well! I always want everything and everyone to stay the same (including this forum). The only way I deal with it is to accept the change and pretend that the newcomers might go away soon so I can have it back like it was. Change is really hard for most of us with autism, so you... |
