I currently work in a call center, despite previous jobs in this sector proving to be horrible for my mental health and physical wellbeing. My college degree has not panned out in the way I had hoped, so I went back into the field out of desperation. However, the stress is on an unmanageable level. ... |

I'm finally talking to a therapist, and we're delving into my past. I always believed that my childhood was average, and that I was just weak or overthinking the bad stuff, because that's what my parents always told me. I'm finally beginning to understand that I was abused in many ways, with my pare... |

No thanks, like I said, I won't do anything proactive against them, it's not in my nature. This post was mostly a fit of anger at the time (my school had yet another DDoS attack today, so I almost wasn't able to get my final project finished). |

One of my college courses this semester has been Database Design and Development, a course that they only teach a single class in, once a year during the Spring semester. It's primarily done in MySQL, but this year, they updated to a new version of MySQL and the entire server went down. And to this ... |

I don't personally know many people on the spectrum, but I've recently come into contact with two Auties who frequent Discord servers I'm a member of, and have discovered that they, more than anyone else, annoy me the most. It just seems like whenever they want to talk, they railroad the conversatio... |

* Added a trigger warning on Fnord's behest. Addressing Fnord: I'm sorry to hear about that, my friend. Sounds like you had it rougher than I. My father (still living) also has had good moments, and I will miss him for those when he is gone. As the years went on, my father's extended work wore him o... |

When I was a child, before anyone in my family knew about autism, my parents knew that something was off about me. My father first thought he could beat it out of me, and then thought that negative reinforcement would work. The worst physical and emotional punishments I can remember include: • havin... |

In response to StarTrekker, I have not been diagnosed. Living on my own, I've been too busy between working and going to college to get diagnosed, though I'm certain by this point. I have spoken to a psychiatrist specializing in those on the spectrum who gave me a quasi-diagnosis that he was also ce... |

My younger sister has autism. She has the meltdowns and the stress and the odd way of talking. My mother is constantly telling me of all the ways that my sister reminds her of me. (Despite this, they still refuse to get her diagnosed, but that's an issue for another day.) As another autistic individ... |

However, ever since coming back to the dorms, I have noticed a distinct rise in anger. I live with two roommates, one white and one black, in an apartment-style suite with three other men in single-occupant bedrooms. The problems seem to be common, run-of-the-mill issues such as: marijuana usage by... |

Thank you for your assistance and worry, it's much appreciated. On the subject of relieving stress, I have actually found a couple of ways of doing that, though they are a bit odd. One way is to play a particularly difficult game that I've come to enjoy. After failing to do something specific a few ... |

I'm not sure what I plan on, to be honest. It's difficult to concentrate at the best of times, and this newfound aggression only exacerbates that. As for your questions, I am physically unfit. I do walk everywhere that I go, and take the stairs more often than not, but due in part to my major as wel... |

So, lately I have noticed a distinct increase in feelings of anger and annoyance. I am currently a college student living on campus at my community college, majoring in Computer Science. It is the 3rd semester of my Associate's Degree, and this comes after 3 years of working and living alone, with a... |

To GrammarGeek, I apologize if I have inadvertently insulted you by neglecting to mention those who struggle with issues that prevent them from excelling in their chosen field. It was rude and careless of me to not mention that I have no grief with that, and I do strive to help my fellow students wi... |

Personally, when I was in high school, I was bullied so bad that I was suspended three times a year at least (my school operated on the ideology that it was easier to punish the victim than to reprimand the bully). In my senior year of high school, a rumor circulated that I would come into the schoo... |

I am currently in my third semester of community college for a computer science major. As part of my studies, I had to take two English classes, which I have already completed in my first and second semester. Right now, I am taking World History as an elective. For midterms, the assignment is to wri... |
