I feel different to others and i came across AS in the news and am worried I may have it. People always say I'm weird, or different, or 'a psycho'. I can be hyper, but I'm quite attentive (at least, i do well at school) so I think ADHD's out. I feel like i fulfill all of the criteria except eye cont...

I can certainly relate to the 'sitting with acquaintances' part - I always struggle to differentiate friends from acquaintances. For example, sometimes the people I would consider my closest friends (although admittedly not that close) suggest we are not even friends, and sometimes other people, who...

Hi. I feel a little confused about life and, and possibly the cause may be Asperger syndrome. I was wondering if any of you can understand how I?m feeling? I am a 16 year old girl, and have problems with others since I can remember (athough I feel that the situation has become worse since the beggin...

Yes (although I'm not sure if I'm an aspie or not)! I've got a bit of a History obsession, different periods come and go. Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome, Pompeii and Herculaneum, the history of Tea, the Tudors, the denazification of Germany, the Victorians, 1920s USA...etc...It's nice to know that not ...

I don't really get 'hanging out'. I don't mind if someone invites me to come to their house, as long as they have a plan for what we will do there, but I hate taking on the responsibility myself.

I'm in a similar situation to you frodz - I don't know if I have AS or not. When I was thinking about foot-tapping and leg bouncing, I ultimately decided that they counted as stimming due to how often I do it, the fact that I start unconsciously, and it's difficult to stop. I also found that the cau...

Thanks for your comment. I did consider ADHD actually, but discarded it on the basis that I actually have quite a long attention span, particularly if I am interested in what I am doing. As for what I said about the time I was upset about the controlled assessment, it wasn't like a tantrum, I wasn't...

History is the best! we haven't studied some of my favourite topics though, such as the denazification of Germany and the Russian Revolution. Germany 1918-45 was great through. Geography is also great - well the human topics such as deprivation, sanitation and world health are anyway! I only like En...

Can't wait to go back to school to start my a-levels, I feel like I'm going crazy with too much free time on my hands and my mum constantly on my back about 'getting a social life'. I like the routine and learning at school, but not the stress!

Hmm... not sure yet if I'm an aspie or not but this is what I think: Current: History ( different aspects, often changing) , Harry Potter, The Sims 2 Past: Random things I got set essays on but became really interested in, such as Benidorm (the town in Spain) and the Arab Spring Scooby Doo And to fi...

38 but I don't feel like I suffer from 'extreme loneliness' - I mean, I feel lonely sometimes but tbh I don't think this quiz works if you like being alone.

Honestly, although I have Facebook for it's practical advantages (I know people who don't text but often message on Facebook) and to get my mum off my back about talking to people and arranging to see them, I actually find it an incredibly irritating website. Before, I have accepted friend requests ...

Thanks for the comments. I just don't feel comfortable asking my parents, as I don't want to cause an argument. I might ask for a reffal in 2 years time, when I am 18 and will have gone away for university. Out of curiosity, do any of you find it difficult to make decisions (either because there are...

Hi. I read an article which included the diagnostic criteria for AS a couple of months back, and realised than the areas which I have trouble with in life matched up with the criteria, so I conducted some research, the results of which largely indicated that AS was a possibility. However, I feel unc...
