OSX86 was alright, not exactly big on the HW support when I tried it, but ok aside from that. If you have the time, just install *nix or *BSD and don't look back.

Has anyone got a Leopard hackintosh up and running? I see the guide says to buy $800 of parts. My parts aren't proprietary m$ garbage. They run Linux and just about anything I want them to. I'm a college student and can't afford to build the $800 computer right now. Is there a HCL for hackintosh. HCL = Hardware Compatibility List.

sorry to revitalize this old thread. but i would recommend those who are interested in installing OS X on normal PC architecture to look at the top hackintosh site.
