Do you use linux? If you do can you tell me what distro you are using?
I like to know because I :heart: linux.

Yes i do.
My servers was running debian, but now they are running freebsd and my workstation runs debian

I don't use Linux nearly as much as I'd like to.

Right now (as in the computer I'm on) I'm using RedHat 9. Thinking I should install Fedora one of these days.
And that Cedega thing.
About the closest thing to a good reason to use Windows is for Games

I also want to learn QNX a bit better. Back in college we did a smidge with it, and it was an interesting Operating System.

On my current computers, I have:
Speakup modifyed fedora.
Oralux.
Gentoo.

Used several more, but Gentoo is by fat my favorite choice.

I have a feeling that theres a program on this laptop that has it. (linux)
Its the quickplay cd dvd player were you can play a cd or dvd without having to start windows. I read about it online that its based on linux. true or not??????

I'd like to use Linux but there's no driver I can find for my ATI card. Knoppix won't display at the res I like.

I'm running Slackware 10 on one of my systems. In theory it's set up so that I can teach myself PHP and MySQL, but its major use is a World Community Grid client and a lot of games of Shisen-Sho. In its previous Linux incarnations, this same computer ran the first release of Fedora and then SuSE 9.

On previous computers, I've run various versions of RedHat (5.x - 7.x) and a diskette-installed version of Slackware.

Check the knoppix cheat codes you should be able to put the cd in during windows load up the cheat codes text file and find out what code will set knoppix to the resolution you want at boot up. For example fb800x600 will set the resolution to 800 times 600.
