I am having a problem integrating Exact Audio Copy and LAME.

I extracted the LAME zip file into the EAC directory, but EAC is not able to access LAME.

I did a search for the lame.exe file on my hard drive and it could not locate it. The EAC wizard can't locate it either.

That is the important file to be able to have EAC use LAME.

I dowloaded LAME from http://sourceforge.net/projects/lame/files/lame/

I use LAME with Audiograbber and it works fine. IIRC it was a file lame.dll and not .exe and that one was supposed to go to the Audiograbber directory.

The files on sourceforge.net only contain the source code. You have to build the project yourself to get lame.exe or lame_enc.dll. The official site doesn't provide the binaries because of legal reasons. You can find the already built binaries on a lot of sites, one of the more popular one is RareWares.

Get LAME here - http://www.free-codecs.com/Lame_Encoder_download.htm

I use Exact Audio Copy all the time. However, I mostly encode all of my stuff using FLAC.
