wow this is a flashback!! i used to run that on a dos computer that i ran a bbs on in the early 90's. it didnt boot as far as i recall. i thought it still booted off the OS (dos). but then its been forever, i have no recollection of the details. but it was the cats meow for multitasking back then.. until i went to OS/2 ;)

What are you trying to run it on? I have only gotten it to run under VMware (the non-X text-based version of DESQview will run under QEMU and Bochs, but DESQview/X requires QEMM, which is rather particular about which emulators it will run on). Of course, it should also run on real hardware as well (I haven't actually tried that, though).

since it was a precursor to Windows, I do seem to remember it was keyboard combos (y'know, it might even predate the mouse...at least the PC version...;) Try function keys. I seem to remember it locking up, and the only keyboard combo that worked was ctrl+alt+del...;)

maybe try Ctrl+c
