I want to make a website and a blog. Is there anyway to make a website and just put a blog on it? Anyway, I would like to know what you think is the best site building program. Also, which is the best webhosting site. I plan to use my website to sell crafts and I would like to incorporate videos every now and then into my blog. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Why have your own site when wordpress or one of the others can do most of the work for you? You can also buy a domain name and use that with their service.

Best site building software? too complicated and'd distract you and frustrate you.

What fuzzy said,
lot of options've been mentioned before, google's your friend.
Maybe easiest route is fuzzy's one, domain name+blogger/typedad/tumblr.

Good luck.

Mozilla Compozer?
It works kind of like "wordpad" in Windows.

A basic web hosting service and a domain name Can be
less than $10USD a month.
There are some free ones but they usually have crappy ads.

Keeping track of passwords can be a pain.

Embedding Youtube videos is the easiest way to put video
on a site.... and probably also a blog.

Points of view:
1.Blogs are free and easier
2.Making web pages is a useful skill but takes a long time
to make ones that don't look like rubbish.
My webpages DO look like rubbish.

Thanks for replying everyone. I guess I'll stick with blogger. I still want to make it as much of my own as possible, though. How would I go about making my own blogger background/theme? I searched google, but can't find good tutorials. >.< I'm probably getting annoying....sorry

If all you want is a blog, you could just make an account on blogger.com or one of those other blogging sites.
