What Operating System do you use?

Not sure if there's already one of these.

I use Ubuntu 12.10, although I'm about to install another version of Linux. One that I've been developing.

Win7, Linux Mint 14, Ubuntu 12.04, Lubuntu 12.04, Debian 6.0 (server).

I use the Ubuntu 12.10 as well, though sometimes I have to switch over to Windows to run games and things like that (lots of them don't work on wine, and even the ones that do tend to be buggy, so it's easier to run them on Windows when you have a dual-boot). And good for you for developing your own distro. That stuff is way over my head .

I switched my HP-mini Netbook to Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop. I think it's now faster and more stable. Haven't had a virus since I installed it either.

I also overhauled an old HP Pavilion Desktop by installing Ubuntu 12.04 Server command line to experiment on. It should now be providing a Samba File Server on my LAN.

For my workstation: SuSE Linux
For the servers: OpenBSD

Depends on what you want I guess. I chose it because it seems to be accepted in the IT industry and I want to learn more about it along with my college courses.

I've also got OpenBSD 5.2, DragonflyBSD 3.2.2, and MINIX 3.2.1 on VM's.

In addition I've space partitioned out to make a Linux From Scratch system, which I haven't done in a while and strongly prefer as my main OS.

I also had the LXDE version of GhostBSD running in a VM as well.

This is true, but then again, surfing the internet w/o Adobe Flash can be annoying. Then again, that Amazon Search in current versions of Ubuntu is rather annoying. I think Ubuntu 'Jumped The Shark' as a linux distro back around their 10 series of releases before the ugly Unity Desktop became standard.

At the same time, LinuxMint is even worse due to the fact that everything you search on the internet gets redirected through the MintSearch. -- I'm somewhat surprised at the lasting popularity of this Distro when there's much better to be had.

Well, at the library they use Windows XP pro 32bit though, on my mother's laptop Windows 7 home premium 64bit version is used and eventually, when I actually get around to assembling my own gaming rig it will have Windows 7 pro 64bit..

Win 8 and I love it

I like using Fatdog64, the OS(puppy variant) mounts entirely in RAM for extreme response times - Flash support is included. Tin Hat Linux is a similar distro, but requires a lot of RAM.

I have Windows 8 for gaming. Like many others users( source: MS communities), have had problems with the latest features, including LiveID sign-in, and the Windows App store not working. It feels like an unfinished product, and I wonder if Vista to Windows 7 will be as Windows 8 to Windows Blue. ie, junk.
