I already know how to do this in Windows 8 but I'm currently on my cousins PC and I'm trying to start this game for her.

I have no idea how to mount images on this operation system though.

Will I have to download a program or does Windows XP have tools within it that allow me to mount (like Windows 8 )

Any helpful information would be appreciated

You will need to download a program. just goto Google and look for "iso image mount software". I use the one that's built in to Nero burning ROM.

KIM: You can't boot you system from a mounted image. If you have to boot from the image? You will need to burn it to a real disk first.

Prior to Windows 8 I used Daemon Tools. It's free. I occasionally d/l and use Daemon, however, when I run across files whose extensions W8 doesn't recognize.

I don't know about mounting an ISO file, but you can extract all files of an ISO image with Winrar, and then burn them to disk with the generic Windows CD Burning utility, and have a bootable disk. --Nero is bloatware AFAIC.
