Following WW2 DDt save tens of thousands of lice. One of the after-effects of the war was wide spread lice infestation. Also DT did it share of lowering the death rate from malaria. Insects can carry very nasty pathogens that can kill or sicken people.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you and I agree on many many more things than we disagree on.

I would like to add:

those stupid pants that let your love handles bulge out
those stupid shorts with the pockets that hang out the bottom
mohawks
CHILD beauty pageants in particular
huge noisy cars with way more power than you could ever legally use
night clubs with that horrible thumping beat
graffiti
too many holidays revolving around chocolate

Those metal choke chains with the teeth. Those are supposed to simulate a dog nipping another dog so they won't tug on the leash. I work in a kennel in an animal hospital and I can't tell you how many times my fingers were nearly broken or dislocated because the dogs who wear those are big, strong, and hyper.

The leaf blower. Because using a rake is just too much work and a vacuum is too simple an idea. Let's strap some loud ass 2 cycle engines with a fan on it that no one will let go off the throttle and haventhem walking around everyones house making. A ton of noise and not even getting all the leaves
