I was being quite serious. All firewalls do basically the same thing.. selectively denying connections to ports and ip addresses. The one that comes with windows is free, lightweight, regularly updated and works. I was the IT manager for a multimillion dollar corporation for 15 years and it's what I use.
It's a little offensive to lump all of us together into a category saying that we all share a hobby of violating the privacy of others.
Unfortunately if your going to meet every suggestion with paranoia there's little we can do for you.
