Hamachi is a good VPN, but for security I think you might mean a proxy? In that case the following list should help:

I use ibvpn.com -- $19.95 every 6 months for proxies in the US and Canada. I use them whenever I have to connect through an insecure wireless access point. Occasionally, one of their proxies will go down, but they have multiple, and I've never seen them all go down simultaneously. For less than $1/week, they're really hard to beat.

I use ProXPN and they've always been good. You can use it for free but the bandwidth is very limited unless you pay.

I use Private internet Access. They're pretty popular in the file sharing community. They don't keep logs of who has what IP. They also have a proxy server for file sharing programs. I never got a notification from Comcast for copyright infringement after I started using it & I do alot of file sharing. https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/p ... Hwod-SIEYA

I also use Private Internet Access. I like that they have an installer app for Ubuntu / Linux Mint. It's in beta, but they have it.
