lol, Very funny
Math jokes for people who know Math. Speaking of a math joke that needs explanation:
A group of three friends whose specialties are Mathematics, Physics and Accounting are talking to a Farmer at the bar. The Farmer explains to the group that he needs to take fencing and enclose an area for his cows to graze. He only has so much fencing though, so he is not sure how to proceed.
The Accountant interjects, "I know what to do! Make a spread-sheet of each kind of cow you have; then put each type of Cow in its own amortized square-shaped column of cows..."
Before the Farmer could give a riposte explaining the basis of the Accountant's false assumptions, the Physicist, hands waiving all over the place, interjected as well. "Don't be an imbecile people," his words slightly slurred from alcohol, "put all the cows together into one lump, then using the fencing in bands, ratchet the cows into ever tighter spheres..."
With the Physicist's suggestion the Farmer became highly annoyed, but before the Farmer could explain to the Physicist that he did not want a Cow Blackhole, the Mathematician with punctilious timing interjected as well, "This is all wrong, just take the smallest section of fencing that can loop back in on itself and call the area it encloses the grazing area. It is a simple Calculus of Variations problem. Sheesh."
