it has the new windows 7 . before that I had windows xp.

If I had Windows 7, I would of helped you with that... unfortunelately I don't.... but it is similar to windows xp in certain ways....

Start > Help and Support...

Read all of these will hopefully help you with get started how to use Windows 7, start searching and before you know it, you are used to Windows 7.

Yeah, I would have voted for Mac OS X. I can't vote for any of those three Windows OSs, as I never used them.

A tip: if it says install Windows 7 or better, there's always OSx86

In all seriousness, Windows 7 is the crappy immitation of OS X anyway, the guy who designed the damn thing admitted it!

Because Solaris is generally a commercial UNIX for commercial as well as academic applications and is not regarded as a desktop OS in the way that many Linux distros are. Solaris is also what a majority of US Armed Forces and NASA systems run on.
