12=sqrt(4)*(4!/4)+4

this is an alternate solution
4!/sqrt(4)*(4/4)=12
4!/sqrt(4)+(4/4)=13

Code:
Public side:
P = 5 and Q = 9 (Only prime numbers allowed!)
n = p * q
phi = (p-1)*(q-1)
d = 7 (d and phi has to be co-prime)
n = 45 and d = 7 (These are public keys)

Private side:
de = 1 (mod phi)
e = 23 (This is the private key)

Choose an arbritary message M (let's say M=8) and encrypt it on the client:
N=8^7 (mod 45)
N=17 (this is our encrypted message)

Decrypt it with the private key:
M=17^23 (mod 45)
M=8

If you like discrete mathematics, you'll also love the RSA algorithm. So simple and intuitive, yet so powerful. :)

(4*4)-(4/4) = 15

4^sqrt(4^(4/4))=16

alternatively (of course),

4+4+4+4=16

but I prefer exponents and roots! :D

"4^sqrt(4^(4/4))=16"
clever!

4*4+(4/4)=17
also
4^sqrt(4)+(4/4)=17

Rudin, may i ask if you are enrolled in an advanced Maths program or in a regular public school and just teaching yourself Maths? :D

I go to university classes in the morning on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I go to public school for the rest of the day. I do my maths homework for public school, but when the teacher is teaching a lesson I just doodle and come up with interesting mathematical ideas, solve interesting problems I find online, or do my university maths coursework. I also have special permission to stay inside and go on the computer or do maths. I find the school cafeteria extremely loud so I eat in the student resource room.

Bright people find clever ways to keep the selves occupied.

So, I go to a regular public school.

I'm glad to hear that your parents and the school system have recognized your needs and capabilities and are facilitating an individualized program.
Many gifted kids do not receive any support at all, sadly. They remain trapped in a system that is far to easy/slow/boring.

Will you be doing advanced work in other subjects as well? or is Maths your specialty?
Do you plan on doing the IMO and other Maths competition circuit?

I agree. Also, teachers often don't understand what gifted is. If you ask them who the gifted kids are, they'll probably point to the high-achieving students that please the teacher.

Maths is my special subject but I am ahead in science and English.

I do not know yet. I am still trying to decide. If I want to go into the maths competition circuit I'll have to start in the fall of 2016.

The mean IQ of a teacher is 103 iirc, so it's not surprising that they don't recognize giftedness.
The education system caters exclusively to the lowest common denominator and many gifted children are left unsupported/unrecognized.
Do you plan to completed all secondary education early?
and go to Uni. full-time, early?

So much money is being put in to help under-achievers, so they can reach the government's standard. They rarely think about gifted kids. They usually think that they'll be fine on their own, and that they don't need teachers help. That is often not true. Gifted kids often need more help than kids with learning difficulties.

The impressive gifted children on the news are the minority. Thousands of gifted children are not being catered to, and in some cases they are being misdiagnosed with attention disorders because the work doesn't interest them.

I am not sure what I am going to do. The university in my town has a very limited amount of maths courses. I could go to a private/gifted school. My mother and father say it's good to go to secondary school because I could socialize with others and possibly make new friends, but I'm not interested in that. I don't know yet, I should decide quickly.

I like your attitude. :) Secondary schools do not teach you anything useful (if anything, they're massive demotivators). I'm glad I didn't listen to my mom when I entered the university, although I wasted three years in high school because I did just that.
