i know i had one computer that cooked itself and that was when i got it, you could actually smell the burning smell through the house. my dad was the first to smell it and thought something was on fire.

the computer was the same one i got now but the only difference is the one i have is a floor model.

Anyone buying AMD X2 series, go to AMDs site and download the X2 optimizer before playing any games.

I guess with that set up you will be upgrading your PSU and graphics cards to two 8800GTXs in SLi?

Your computer is over kill. Then again I hate modern games so I cant really understand peoples need to play them.

I see you pay attention to sound quality. So do I. Wouldnt mind having a Audigy 2 ZS since a Audigy XtremeMusic is not supported in linux at all yet. But first on my list is some Logitech Z-5500s. I listen to alot of music on my computer.

Is there even any games that need a PhysX card? I heard that new game designers are just using the idea of dedicating a entire core from a Kensfield or some thing to do physics instead once people start moving to quad cores... Actually alot longer story. Just interested to know if you have much use for that.

What motherboard do you have as well? You seemed to have left this very important detail out. Im guessing you've got some Asus Deluxe board tho.

Intel Desktop Board D975XBX is the motherboard

If i did not have this gfx i would upgrade to the 8800GTXs in SLi but seems a waste for 500 pound
75mhz in more core clock - 600mhz in memory and i don't really see the need for a shader 4.0 when most people don't even have a shader 3.0, probably be a future thing of thinking to upgrade or not..

http://www.ageia.com/physx/titles.html these are games supported so far

AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+
1 GB DDR2 533 MHZ
160GB SATA2 HD
GeForce 7300 LE
Sigmatel Audio (onboard)

It still can't run Oblivion :-P So wtf can I do? Just wait and in a few years when I buy a newer Quad-core PC Oblivion will be just fine... until then cry.
