Reading what I'm typing makes me type faster.
It probably helps that I think at the speed of light. I am often three or four sentences ahead, coming up with responses to any possible variable thrown at me in either verbal or text communication. Perhaps this is why people do not like me at first, I cannot anticipate a response to a person I do not know and therefore often spend most of the time doing the 'Aspie spew'.
With typing, this is great, because I can think ahead and not have to worry about finishing the thought. It was finished over a minute ago. But with having to read, I have to pause and think about what it is I'm reading, because I cannot just turn this forward thinking on and off.
