Opinions of iPhone/iPod Touch
btw I hate fanboys
The only thing good from Apple is Mac OS X even though Linux and *BSD is better. If its any consultation I hate Microsoft the most. As for the hardware part I build my own computers and much prefer it that way because I know what actually goes in them. Fanboys are the worst!!

I know Mac OS X is based on UNIX (more specifically Mach and FreeBSD, which in turn are both derived from BSD). Why I say Linux and *BSD is better is they are more secure then OS X, plus you customise them like hell and the terminal isn't a second class citizen.
Even if You take into account the lack of flash, they are still incredible devices, squeezing almost everything you can do on a computer or games console into a device that fits in your pocket. I have owned a 1st generation iPod Touch since january, and the only complaint i have with it is the battery life is a bit short, but that's understandable since it is 3 years old, and i have high standards for battery life, with my phones battery lasting a week on one charge.
So what are all the complaints about? Is it just my high capacity for analysing things logically that means i can see no problems with them that can't be solved with small modifications?
I agree, the complaints are stupid. Bottom line is, if you don't like it, don't buy it.
The battery on my 3GS is crap, but to be fair I've jailbroken it, installed lots of crap on it, and run custom themes.
My stock iPod touch is even worse on battery, but as you said with yours it is three years old.
However, both devices have served me very well, and have the best user experience IMO, I've never used a phone that comes close to the iPhone in that respect - WebOS and Android are certainly very close, but the iPhone still has the edge for me.
I'm gonna get one of those iPads in a few months too hopefully

Was 3 years old, its been stolen it seems

But back on topic, you shouldn't buy it if you dont like it, the worst thing about them for me is the price, which means if my ipod isnt recovered i wont have one until i have the money, or can buy my uncles old one. so i am among the many who think theyre too expensive, but its worth it.
I think any Apple product would be good if it was released around 3 years before it was actually released.
Or if it was released at half the price.
For example the original Nokia N95 has everything the new iphone has bar a touchscreen, but also has a 5mp (2 more than the new iphone) camera, and it was released in 2007.

Though I don't personally vouch for any android tablet, or any tablet; I think a laptop or phone can do the jobs they do just fine, given neither of them suck.
Asmodeus, that video made my day. Android has a lot of potential and will easily overtake the iPhone in a few years. The things I hate about Apple is planned obsolescence and their products are too expensive. My Cowon D2 has 8 gigs of internal space plus an SDHC slot for cards up to 32 gigabytes. The thing is much cheaper than any iPod plus it's not buggy in Linux unlike iPods. It supports more audio and video formats and comes with a radio. Apple took How many years to finally shove a radio into their MP3 players? My first MP3 player was made by SanDisk and they have had radios in the players for many years. Same with MIcrosoft, Insignia and almost every manufacturer except Apple. Their newest Nano has a radio, but not their hard drive iPods or the iPod Touch. I understand why the shuffle doesn't have one, but Samsung's S2 comes int he same capacities as their newest Shuffle, yet it has a radio, and volume and track playback controls. Apple thinks they are revolutionary, but they didn't make the first computer, they made it easier to use. They didn't build the first commercially successful MP3 player either. A company called RIO did. Apple did the same for MP3 player as they did for the computer. Then they came out with the iPad. I played around with one and decided to compare it with my Nokia N900 that I purchased not too long ago from the money I got selling my N810. The Nokia put the iPad to shame. funny how a Finnish company is more innovative than a US one.

The problem with most arguments against apple is that they're from a technical point of view and most of them dont really affect the average user, other than a lack of flash.
I use my ipod almost every day for things that need done, but don't warrant starting up my computer (which by the way is a custom built one, i cant stand overpriced crappy computers loaded with bloatware) such as reading webcomics and checking facebook. So really its just a case of, if you dont like it dont buy it. It's not as if anyones forcing you to buy it
Or if it was released at half the price.

I disagree with that video.
First, multitasking is coming to the iPad in the next software update.
Next, Android tablets are crap - Google don't even let tablets have access to the Android Market, so if you want apps you're out of luck. Tablets need modded UIs, so if you want Android updates on your tablet, again you're out of luck.
Take the Dell Streak for example, it makes phone calls (something the video complained the iPad couldn't do), but it's the size of a tablet - what's the point? All it means is that you'll be paying for a tariff on your tablet as well as your phone! Plus, the Dell comes with Android 1.6 - it's three updates behind before it's even come to the market! You better get used to that too, because manufacturers couldn't care less about updating Android, they'll just put the new firmwares on their latest flagship device hoping you'll buy the next big crap.
Not only that, but Android devices become obsolete within mere months! Let's look at the HTC Dream - the first ever Android phone, not even two years old yet. Does it get official updates? Nope, even though it runs stock Android. The first generation iPhone, though, has only just ceased to be supported at 4.0, at three years old.
It's not just about legacy hardware either - anyone who owns an HTC Hero - a phone still being sold in shops today - will tell you how crap HTC is at giving customers updates. Hero users only just got 2.1, six whole months after it was released, and just days before 2.2 was announced! If that's not a piss take, I don't know what is.
Don't get me wrong here, I do like Android, I think it has potential, but it is not practical at all at the moment with the fragmentation, and as things stand at the moment, I would NEVER buy a tablet running Android.
As for other things that video complained about... No camera: why do you need one on a damn 9 inch tablet? No Flash: have you seen Flash running on the Nexus One? Even on 2.2, it causes a massive loss of performance, and it's unsecure and buggy too.
