Then its just a matter of debating as to whether SSDs are worth the cost...

I have heard from different reviews and discussions that SSDs have a very high failure rate. That has put me off from buying them since they are incredibly expensive.

My computers aren't very interesting on the outside, so I won't take a picture of them - it's what's inside that counts. ATX cases cost too much, so I reuse them. I've had the same ATX cases for a decade or so.

Even the insides of computers aren't very interesting these days, since so much is built into the motherboard. And hard disks are so big. I used to have 5+ hard drives in a server, but now I just put a 1TB drive into a computer. Which is great because there's less heat, less power consumption, and less noise (I sometimes wonder if my machines are still working) - but it just doesn't look right to have an almost empty ATX case. I could get by with Micro-ATX these days because all I put into a computer is a DVD burner and one hard disk.

Nah, but maybe I should dust my screen ...

...wow.

If any of those keyboards are old IBM Model Ms, you can sell them for well over a hundred dollars.

My oldest keyboards are way back in the lower right corner, but I will definitely take a look and keep you in mind if any of them are the correct models!

@Guilliman: My kind of setup!

Charts on the wall, simple-but-functionally-elegant monitor stand, everything within reach ...

:cheers:

Ah, the classic Antec 900.

My wife's computer uses that chassis. I also notice the joystick and the model V-22 Osprey. Seems we have a lot of flyers here...

People like us are too wild to be grounded :P we're explorers destined to do great things, and see even greater things.
