Indeed it is!
So many young people don't know of this crazy cult movie.
It is up to us to let them know of this great piece of cinematography.
A few more gems:
"... a flying saucer? You mean the kind from up there??"
"Yeah, either that or it's counterpart."
"Visits? That would indicate visitors!"
"I'll bet my badge we haven't seen the last of those weirdies."
Immortal dialogue worthy of Shakespeare.
In one of ed wood's movies( I think it was Plana 9) the McGuffin was "the Solaranoid Bomb" possessed by aliens - worse than either the atomic or hydrogen bomb.
While trying to jumpstart my car it occured to me where he probably got the name for this futuristic bomb. He probabaly asked friends to give him a name for a futuristic "atomic type bomb", and someone probably told him to just "call it the selenoid bomb"( ie 'having to do with electrons"). Decades later they really did start building "neutron bombs", so a "selenoid bomb" would be atleast superficially believable. But the word apparently morphed in Ed Wood's mind into "Solar-a-noid" -which is not in any dictionary ( maybe it means "annoyed by the sun"?).
