Is gravity matter? Is gravity energy?
The Universe works, none of the theories do.
Creationist Science, The Big Bang, date stamped, does not work because it starts as particles, that join to become gas, that then gravity gathers into stars, that produce denser matter. Stars explode and spread the matter, which forms again around gas stars, and there after ten billion years we find life.
The problem with this timeline is it takes a lot longer to form Black Holes.
When your math shows that everything is flying apart faster than the speed of light, you have something wrong with the math.
If the Universe was expanding at that rate, gravity would be decreasing, Solar Systems would be being flung out from their current orbits.
No change in the orbit of our Sun around the Black Hole at the center of the Milkyway.
The relationship between our Sun and the Black Hole seems to have not changed in the last 25 billion years. We orbit it in 250 million years, the last hundred orbits seem stable.
The Universe being Created, the current edit, a super massive single Black Hole exploding, sending out chunks of Black Hole, would also send out some super dense buckshot, where a piece the size of your head would destroy a planet. It would create gravity whorlpools it local space, Mini Black Holes with only a few thousand stars in orbit. There is no evidence of these Mini Gravational Centers. Something like Neptune and Pluto orbiting another center while orbiting the Sun as a group.
Some view, that does not involve invisable super strong flying monkeys, where the math matches the observed Universe, as something that has always existed, might give more useful data.
.
So far neither the Theory of Relativity or Quantum Theory has been falsified. However there is no guarantee that they won't be.
So far quantum electrodynamics is good to 12 decimal place (for non-gravitational effects or phenomena). I would call that a theory that works.

There is NO science in Creationism. Creation mythologies are the inventions of primitives.
Invisable super strong flying monkeys have also not been disproved, and won't be till they are caught.
We can see patterns, sometimes they loop, and when logic forms a perfect circle, we follow it.
I doubt the truth of the universe could fit in an ape brain, and if we did get it, someone would break it.
What forms a pattern in one place is meaningless in another.
What I heard was The Big Bang was a sarcastic comment, "Tell me Professor, how was the Universe created?" "There was nothing, then it blew up."
Same as now, once it made the New York Times, it had to be true.
So a whole pattern forms where there is a lack of common sense, and long before a knowledge of Black Holes.
Next the God is Light group, which cannot think that over distance, longer waves travel farther, shorter get filtered out, because god is unchanging, so the only answer is the Universe is flying apart faster than the speed of light.
Obvious problems like it does not have the Mass to do that, call for invisable super strong flying monkeys pushing it. They can do that because they are ten times larger than the universe.
No one asks why they would do that, as it is that Sacred Cosmic Cow Stuff.
Sometimes my computer behaves like that, I shut it down, wait, restart, and if it continues, I save some historic stuff and format the drive and start over.
I do it for others, and have been told some strange stories, their History has been erased, there are simple reasons they stand there and keep me from looking at their files, and I listen to their stories of how someone on the internet did not like them, and hacked their computer. Could have put Gbs of anything on it.
Disk Cleanup and Defrag, and their porn collection is as good as new.
We know people lie on the internet for attention, money, or showing themselves on a web cam. Science gets even less attention, and any story that Huffington Post would print feeds their lusts for public exhabition, and they can call their mother.
Peer Pressure drives Science, badly. Not making the Peer Reviewed level, they rehash old work, and try to put a new spin on it. A Wordpress Blog, and they might get picked up for an AOL "Science News" article, or if not they can submit to HuffPost.
Some of the old stuff I can agree with, "God does not play dice with the Universe." That would be like playing D&D Solo, his game is Poker, and until you make your bet and Call, you got nothing but a guess, "Feeling Lucky?"
In this game even when we think we win, we do not get to see all the cards. It may be crooked, but....
I really had hopes for this lot, with computers and all, I am still waiting.
Facebook? You came up with Facebook? All of the Universe, and that's it?

Location: in my own little tamarillo jungle,
personally i cant wait for the exreme light infrastructure, they want to "vaporize spacetime" as one reporter so colerfully put it

It is a force because it effects the behaviour of mass and even massless particles such as photons. But there is no energy involved, since it does so not by exerting any energy, but changing the geometry of space-time.
You're incorrect about claiming no energy is involved in gravitation. Also, your understanding of gravity is scientifically obsolete. Gravity has a quantum mechanical basis. And although there is no complete(let alone consistent) theory of quantum gravity, experimental evidence of it's existence was discovered some 12 years ago through the Nesvizhevsky Experiment.

1, A graviton (spin 2 boson) has never been observed.
2. Every attempt at quantizing gravitation has lead to un renormalizable infinities.
Bottom line: There is no working quantum theory of gravitation.

Yes I'm aware. Nonetheless, when the theory doesn't match the experimental data, you adjust the theory.
The un-renormalizability of gravity is one of the major flaws of the standard model of particles and fields.

The standard model was never made to explain gravitation.

Gravity is the odd ball out. No one truly understands gravity. There are theories of gravity that work very well at the low energy levels of our daily lives.
Once you get up to very high energy levels, gravity begins to reveal it's true form and it's very complicated.
Gravity, if it's a force, should be mediated by a spin-2 massless boson called a graviton. Why massless? Gravity needs to be able to travel at the speed of light. I often wonder if gravity travels faster than the speed of light.
If string theory is correct, gravitons are special closed string particle and can travel throughout the 11 dimensions of string theory.
Gravity is SO neat to think about.
For example, if you had an enormous amount of metal and it had a strong enough magnetic force could it be drawn into a Black Hole?
There are several differences.
1. There apparently are no magnetic monopoles.
2 a piece of matter is a gravitic monopole.
3. Magnetism both attracts and repels. That is true for electromagnetism in general.
4. Gravitation only attracts.

And that's why it is an imcomplete scientific theory. The results of the Nesvizhevsky experiment aren't explainable via the Standard Model.
