if you're still on it next year (i have to finish my study this year) i can do graphic design, know how to manipulate images (moving or still) , and learning java a little.
i'm best when someone tells me : "do this " with a good discription of what is desired.

no i'm sorry, i haven't

i have little graphical work on the internet , just my drawings/paintings (a blog i use to show paintings) www.sarahzamora.canalblog.com

well i do have a website but it's not a real one, i made it for an exposition and i never bothered the time to access it from the internet, so it takes a long time, if you have the patience...
http://home.tiscali.be/spilate/kubus.htm (it's older work but except paintings and drawings also more computer modified)

here is a frontpage of another one that i'd have to update, the little flames normally dance a little (flash-animation)

I have an idea for a telepathic communication device consisting of a skullcap arrayed with electrodes, a translation unit, and a LCD display visor. Maybe it would help Aspies communicate more effectively. It would derive from recent research. Once one trains the device (or the device trains you--I haven't decided which), everyone with it would be able to communicate by thinking of symbols. The device would also allow more effective communication with computers.

The programming for that is beyond me.

I'm fond of tinkering with web applications. If you need me to regurgitate several thousand lines of code in the language of your choice over the weekend that's a definite option.
I'd be wary of micromanaging this project though - the language/code doesn't matter nearly as much as the content.
I'd like to produce a line of ebooks/POD reference manuals for AS adults dealing with social situations in the workplace, for dating and the like. To really get this done I'd need to collaborate with an illustrator (not a photoshop manipulation-junkie) as photographic images are too time consuming to collect and publish.
Also, an active database of common social phrases and expressions used by NTs for quick translation. As far as I can imagine, this would need to be both very fast (faster than most internet connections would allow) for use during IM/phone conversations and be updated regularly - so to be downloaded as a desktop client with an auto-update feature that would connect with the main database online and update new/edited entries as required.
A list of patches or instructions on how to customise existing applications and operating systems for AS-friendly use would be of considerably more value than a brand new OS/suite of applications. New stuff is exceptionally time consuming and provides little financial reward.

Thank you so much!

Soon I will post my supporters on the beginning thread.

dgd1788,

You don't strike me as really having a clue about this, but I have a server doing nothing right now that I could give you space on. FOR THIS! IF you're serious!

It IS, of course, LINUX, which is the most popular UNIX like O/S and unix DOES run most of the internet, and used to run about 100% of it!

Also, M/S crashes, is a piece of junk, and NOT made to be remote!

IBM SERVERS? I assume you mean RS 6000? Nice servers, but WHY throw money down the toilet? Hey, you can send it all to me if you want!

BTW Xuincherguixe is right! There are probably a lot of aspies out there ALREADY doing this. I used to be WAY too altruistic. Actually, I probably still am. Apparantly, it is an ASPIE trait!

Oh, and ION is WRONG! The guys at IEEE worked long and hard on POSIX! Incidently, Java RELIES on it! SO, if you follow IONs advice, you probably can't follow IONs advice anyway!

The fact is that, though the IEEE guys got a lot wrong(WHAT IDIOT made the file position and time variables SIGNED!?!?), they got a LOT right! It STILL beats every competitor designed in the last 30+ YEARS! AND, it is designed around UNIX the oldest most adaptable, most portable, and most compatible O/S EVER devised! BTW it was designed together with a language for it in their spare time by pioneers. That sounds kind of aspie to me!

Steve
