I'd be worried about acoustics and heat dissipation... but it's extremely cool! You could probably ebay it for massive profit. ;)

It's for a hyperactive little intake fan, and a very large outlet fan, so heat isn't a problem. And it is quite quiet.
Not likely, if you consider the time that went into it.

About 15 pounds or so. Not as heavy as it looks.
And I am willing to be it will outlast your flimsy plastic towers :lol:

if i were to build a cabinet today then it would be wood brass and stone.

i have always wanted to make furniture or flooring out of cast basalt(lava), i know they make pipes and roof tiles by melting basalt and casting it.
