Apologies for the quality of this picture, took it on a vga camera phone

now, onto my next one, lappy :D

Image
Yes, it's a thinkpad, the wifi card has since been replaced, I stood on the old one by accident, can anyone spot the mobile phone poking out from behind it? lol

and finally as I am a showoff

Image
My server, also a rubbish picture, will be taking some new ones soon, the server hasn't really been moved from that spot, only once when I replaced the hard disk unsuccessfully, the monitor above it has since been removed, there is a mixing desk on that shelf now

I also make a point of stating how much I despise windows and that no machine in constant use by me has it installed, the dining room computer has windows xp on it but i hardly use it

Maybe what she is trying to say is...Sometimes people don't feel comfortable showing a picture, so they might prefer to post a picture of the thing the communicate from (computer) the most.

Thanks! DriftingBlizzard. I like the pic of your desk also, you should post the picture of it. I bought my desk three years ago for 50€, it does the job. I took the two shelves from underneath away as one was taking up leg room and I did not like having the keyboard on the other. I also have more hardware, that are not shown in photo. I am getting a Mac Pro Laptop whenever Leopard comes out, hopefully soon! the money is waiting. :P

I will just post some Links (I don't know how to upload to this site yet)...

12" iBook (standard except for the Decoration in this Picture):
Image
1.33GHz G4 with 1GB RAM and 80GB HD
(I also have two external HDs (60GB and 400GB))

Dual Opteron:

Image
Dual Opteron 1.6GHz; 1GB RAM
Raid5 (MegaRAID SATA) with 5x 160GB HD
2x 200GB SATA HD
1x 18GB LVD-SCSI HD
The Pictures are about 2 Years old, the 2x 200G are not in it, but the 60GB ATA (now external HD for iBook) and an extra 36GB LVD-SCSI HD)

Sun Ultra 5:

This is my Sun Ultra 5 (which I got for free) it is hosting these pictures.
The IP in the picture is wrong (old IP).
Sparc Ultra 5 360MHz; 256MB RAM
8GB ATA HD
36GB LVD-SCSI HD

I also have an old Celeron 400MHz which is currently not in use.
Wow, I just noticed that I currently have ~1.8TB of HDs in operation... 8)

I really wanted an iBook 12". Seemed like just the right size for notetaking.

I see you have a nice DVD collection also Tequila! 8) The picture is of relatively good quality, what camera did you use? I am getting an DSLR but I have not chosen what one yet, most likely one from the Cannon range.
