"I would not consider Quora to be a reliable source", nor would I, but it's better than most sites; at least you get different views there. If you want reliability, then a hardware encyclodedia at your local library is as good as it gets, especially if they have Encyclopedia Brittannica. Wiki and similar are great as starting points, but there's little to prevent people with an agenda, from publishing what they like there.

Example: Look up Leo Kanner on line, and you'll find there stuff that bears little resemblance to what was there 20 years ago! The last time I tried to look at his papers on autism, all I got was hundreds of references to opinions by third parties (as if any same researcher would prefer that! It's the work of a robot set to click repeatedly on those other papers). I'd note that Kanner is sill dead; he hasn't changed anything...
