well, i downloaded from the link you gave, beanie, used it - it worked - and then tried to uninstall, which worked, but there is still the CA folder on my hard drive. tried to remove it manually, but some of the license components won't uninstall - file protected/in use/disk full error message.

how do i get the sodding thing off my computer?

I don't have problems with IE.

But then again, not many people can manually install IE via the registry and some .cab files on the windows cd :D

I have a way to remove IE from XP, or at least once I can get the installer to work and simply install Mandrake Linux LOL

Certainly - but Firefox is a change well worth the effort :D

As a web developer, I got to have both browsers working, but these days I use IE just for crossbrowser testing of local sites - Firefox for everything else. It's my default browser as well. No porn popups, no viruses, no spyware, no nothing.

Get peace of mind. Get Firefox (tm)...
