Cool. Win95 still needs to have a licensed copy? Shame. I have an old Win98 install disk that I failed at VBoxing, but I'll probably try again since my old math teacher found some Mathematica floppy disks she's willing to give me.

I remember DOS 3.1, it was OK at the time. DOS 4 was a disaster as I remember, too unstable and there were driver problems. I learned twenty years ago never to use any DOS operating system version .0 always wait for the .1 as most of the bugs will be worked out by then. Things never change.

Points at the troll and laughs.

I have parallels on my mac so I can have the ability to run other OSs when I need them. Does it say much that I have 2 virtual machines, each a different distro of linux? Notice what major OS did not make the cut and it is not due to lack of HD space either!

what?! somebody said that linux isnt better than windows! this is heresy, nobody is allowed to do that. any critisism must be like this:

i love linux i really do, it's a great little operating system, the only thing is that it doesnt do -

(start saying how bad it is)..............an hour later..... and it doesnt do this, and it crashes when i do this.... and hour..... and it freezes when i try to do that.

seriously that is like the the unwritten code of the internet

You can tell a lot about a man by the insults he hurls. He tends to use the ones that would bother him. I am sure your sexual frustrations will work themselves out as you grow and learn a little tact. I know it can be tough when you are angry at the world, but I hope that gets better for you soon too.

You're entitled to your opinion, but you're still wrong. :P If you don't like Ubuntu, don't use it. Pretty simple. I don't like Windows, so I won't use that. To each his own. But, objectively speaking (looking at things like performance, security, reliability, stability, configurability) even the crappiest Linux distros destroy Windows.

And why do you assume all Linux users are virgins? Didn't you hear the news? 'Linux developer gets laid.' :P

Some people will expect the things to be the same between operating systems. This I think is the number one reason why people don't like Linux in any flavour. They can't work it out and understand it's done differently for a reason

Depends what you mean by garbage. It boots, you can customize it, it doesn't crash *that* much. You just about never have to reboot your computer on Linux (Control Alt Backspace is generally good enough). I don't use any Linux distributions myself as it's too my preference but they aren't that bad. Most of the time though I do have to agree that it's kind of useless to install Linux, especially when you've got Windows or whatever and it works fine. I honestly don't care myself.
