Hey UberElvis Yep it was a 133 MHZ Pentium. Damn when i think about it this always amazes me about how far our tech has come. that old Pentium was top of the line back in 1995 when we got our first PC. Just think in about 6 or 7 years time we'll look back and think the modern CPU's we have ( mine is an AMD Turion X2 TL-60) and think they're ANTIQUATED!! LOL  8O

DOS, bu t no clue which version (the one that was around in 1995). For Windows, the first one I used is Windows 95 SP2.

Windows 3.11. was the one that I started to use. Now mind you, I've done some experimenting with Linux in it's many variations and all and I find it to be quite useful if not beyond Windows. However, nothing is perfect mind you so, I'm always trying to incorporate the use of different technologies into my game plan as part of being on the net and all..

^^ Ubuntu blows goats in comparison to... well everything else. It is just your perception. Or perhaps you like feeling or telling others that you are different somehow.

My first "OS" was Sinclair BASIC. :)

My first Microsoft OS was DOS 2.0 on an original PC (4.77 MHz, 512KB RAM (yeah KB, or 0.5MB), 12" amber monitor, two 5.25" floppies and no hard drive).

Since then I've used DOS 3.3, 5.0, (skipped the horrible horrible 4.1), Windows 2, Windows 3, Win 95, Win 98, Windows 2000 (all of a sudden Windows became a really really nice OS!), XP, Vista, and now I'm using Windows 7.

I've been running Linux on and off since mid-90s. There's always always something cripplingly wrong with it. Sure it can be fixed...... if you know C++ and can download the source code of the missing driver and recompile the kernel and manually edit some CONF file. Forget that. I'd like Linus to please return to me the hundreds of hours of my life I spent hacking Linux.

I carried an Apple Powerbook for a few years. OS X is okay for what it is. But it is really dumbed down too much for my liking. I also don't like their window and task management UI.

MS-DOS 3 or 4, I think. Back in 1989.

Indeed. After using Microsoft products since dos 2.0, my perception might know a thing or two about windows.
