Actually, I used Mozilla on OS 9 as recently as this summer. It's complete garbage.

Yes, yes it is. Dare I say it - Internet Explorer works better on Mac OS 9 than Mozilla.

When Firefox eated up that much memory, it was version 3.0.x and before Mozilla sorted out the memory problems. Which is said to be the images used are uncompressed into memory and stored there effectively. (that's from memory, so if could be slightly inaccurate)

I'm running it off a sd card and it is very fast, it is a lightweight linux os (puppy linux) and is running firefox 3.5.3.

It is just a joke: the joke is that microsoft is for newbs, but unix is too far; its for hippy geeks. Only linux is cool. Like I said.. just a joke.
