I've used Windows most of my 18 years of life, starting with Windows 3.11 and ending with XP Pro. I've briefly used Vista and I absolutely hate it. It is a sorry excuse for an OS and M$ worst yet (even more so than Millennium Edition.)

2 years ago I switched to Linux and I haven't looked back. I currently use Ubuntu Gutsy on my PC, Xandros on my Asus Eee, and CentOS on my makeshift server. I'm currently in the process of setting up Gentoo on my newly built PC (well, personal workstation to be precise.)

... MacOS X (being a Unix-based OS) is pretty good too.

I have a Genuine copy of Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit oem. People tend to hate people when they make something of themselves and because Bill Gates is rich they hate Microsoft. Well for me I see a guy that maybe on the Artistic spectrum that has hit the big time and I say well done Mr Gates. Just lower the cost of Windows so people can afford it and you may get less people just bittorrenting it.

  • Hard luck on being burdened with beta-testing Vista.
  • I don't hate anyone.
  • Bill Gates is a smart businessman.
  • I do hate Microsoft, for their highly immoral monopolistic approach.
  • I don't think Bill is very Artistic. Neither does he seem autistic, particularly.
  • Where would be Microsoft's advantage in lowering the price? I'm sure they have it tuned to exactly where they want it - maximising their overall profit.
  • Why would anyone bittorrent Windows? It's easier to copy the discs. They change so little from decade to decade.

Windows XP Home Edition.

I have always used it...and probably always will, I like it.
