There was a thread for Microsoft operating systems, so it only seems fair that there is one for Apple operating systems. :)

As the title says, what was the first Apple OS you've ever used? I chose the term "Apple OS" because there have been others besides Mac OS.

Anyways, mine was OS 7.5

I believe mine was also 7.5. Good OS.

7.5, unless we count whatever we used to play Oregon Trail at my elementary school's dinosaur Macs.

I used the macintosh personal computer. It was a beige small box with an integrated 9 inch monitor a keyboard and a mouse. In black in white and the one I used had Photoshop 1. It was the early 90's and they were considered old. At that time we were using the Performa mac with 7.5 OS (I think) at school, then we used the Power Mac with 8.0 , then the G3 OSX, G4, G5 and so on.

My first Apple computer was a Mac II. My parents bought for about $2000 back in 1988 when I was eight years old. It's sturdy piece of equipment. My father still uses it occasionally for word processing and playing chess.

7.1 on the trusty LC, in what, 1997 or 1998? It was a hand-me-down. Led to the 1999 purchase of my first iMac which came with 8.5. :D

Well, there was the Apple II, and then the Apple III - finest 8-bit microcomputer ever made, IMHO.

After that, a couple of years of the Lisa, first with its native OS and later with Apple Unix. Then, of course, the Macintosh: a pair of fat Macs made a very useful development system.

The only Apple OS I never got around to using, funnily enough, is MacOS.

The first Apple that I ever used was an Apple IIc at a job training center. Other than that, the Mac that I owned from 2000 - 2004 had OS9 loaded on it.

Probably System 4 or 5. We got a Macintosh SE, and I vaguely remember that when we first got it, you could only run one program at a time; apparently the earliest SEs were shipped with System 4, but I don't know if ours was that early. We got Multifinder with System 6.

A PowerMac G4 running OS X 10.03 Panther. I got it as a graduation present from my cousin. He had it lying around and gave it to me a month ago. later, I'm going to upgrade it to run Leopard.
