I was wondering if there's any truth to the stereotype of Aspies being very interested in the weather. I don't know if I have AS or not, but my 4 yo son does. Since I was 5, I always wanted to be a meteorologist (not a weather bunny :) ). I actually did go on to get a BS in Atmospheric Science and interned at the National Weather Service. I decided to give it all up to be a stay-at-home mom (which I have no regrets about), but still remain very interested in the weather and climate change.

So, if thermodynamics and the adiabatic process rock your world, I'd love to know!

Oh yeah! I have a weather station set up in my backyard. I've loved weather as long as I can remember, although we never seem to get many good storms here. :(

I'm an Autie and used to be a Sky Warn tornado spotter. I love a nice storm :-)

I love just sitting down and watching TWC. I also check the weather every hour on my computer.

When I was little, I used to yell at the thunderstorms in hopes of making them angrier and stronger. My son has never been scared of thunderstorms either, not even as a baby. Terrified of the vacuum cleaner, not a storm!

It's interesting from a physics point of view and also climatology in general but the math soon goes over my head.

I used to leave TWC on for hours.

I like to watch the Doppler Radar images of storm systems. Never a dull moment.
