If this is true I say they should release the VHDL code to an open source/ publicly viewable license. I want to see the specs for that thing.Anyone with me?

There are some interesting ideas on that design but do they actually intend to build that thing on 65nm? Even if the fpus are shared, 16 cores would still make a huge chip on that node. If it's an indication that they've used a simple core design, then performance would be as pathetic as the Niagara. I kind of think that Oracle is just being sensible. After all, when was the last time Sun's cpu being competitive.
