What does it mean on AIM when you send someone an IM and it says "your request was denied"?

it's ok. do not take it personally. us aspies deal with rejection on a daily basis :( plus all these internet relationships are so superficial. do not let it bother you too much.

And this was from one of the few friends I have, and my friend gave me no advance warning or explanation why I was blocked, if that was the case.

probably because you did something inappropriate or annoying (which tends to be the case with us aspie males :( ) i say accept it and move on. do not bother that person anymore. it may be a simple case of misunderstanding - but as an aspie man you are not able to repair misunderstandings. i've been in your situation too, and i just accepted it as a fact of life of living with AS

I can't think of anything I could have done or said, though. If I said something she didn't like, I didn't mean to.

i've been in situations where people ignore my calls and emails and i cannot think of anything wrong that i've done. it's just aspegers. one look at my face can be enough for people to "want that guy out of the house" just accept it as a part of living with as.

tim_tex, if it was a block, its possible it was accidential, if you know her email address, tried emailing her to ask what happened??? or what did you do to get blocked??? and try to work things out. possibly she was just having a bad day and your name was removed during the PMS'ing episode. hope all works well for you tim.

The last time I got an e-mail from her was over 2 months ago. I sent her FOUR e-mails since then, and she never answered any of them.

I have no idea if I did anything that upset or offended her. I can't know anything unless she tells me, and she never did. I can't read her mind.
