So I solved the problem with LAME. Now I have another issue.

When I lower the bit rate from 128 to 64, the file of the song saves to my hard drive at the same size. I am creating MP3s.

In the EAC window, the sizes do reduce.

How can I have the size of the file reduced when it is saved on my hard drive?

What did you select in the "Sample format" field? If it's "Minimum 64 kBit/s ..." then I think lame will use higher bitrate when it see fits. Generally, lame performs best using "-Vn" switch but it's not clear how EAC map it's settings. If you don't mind setting up lame as external encoder, then -v9 should use about 64kbps.

But do you seriously want to use 64kbps? mp3 sounds pretty bad at that bitrate.

Is it really important for you to have .MP3 files as opposed to .OGG files which usually have better sound quality and a smaller file size? Just wondering...
