i was extermly annoyed when my welcome email to this site breached one of the basic rules of internet security. it sent me my own password in plaintext. this is a horrible thing because i, and many others, use a single password for most things. so if my email were to be breached, i would be exposed on all fronts if my passwords were sitting in my archives. my reccomendation to all users is to search their email for their password, and delete all occurances. (you should not use dictionary words as passwords).

Breached one of the basic rules? Mate, it's a basic rule that forums such as this send the password in plain text. Hence it is also a basic rule that you never use the same password for confidential/private matters as for places such as this.

Wp is not a bank. yes there is around 16 hops to most sites. The pw on here is more like a high wall than a door. Relax and use a diffrent one.
