I have been using this service for about a week now. It sounds like a great idea. I leave my system on while it runs BOINC style grid computing, and get paid for my system's use. Only I have seen numerous instances where the software will download, process and then submit a work unit while my account status is "pending."
According to Gomez's website,

You may not have been selected as an Active Gomez PEER for one of the following reasons:
1. Incomplete information or errors on the online application form. To correct these problems, login to your custom homepage and view the "Change Your Profile" page.
* Invalid home address or e-mail address.
* Incomplete payment information.
* Multiple Peer accounts. (Please visit our Contact Us page if you submitted multiple applications so we can activate the appropriate username account and delete the other(s).
2. You have not downloaded, installed, and run the Gomez PEER"

I don't fall under any of those conditions. The account status has been "pending" for the past week. The odd thing is I will occasionally see "active" whenever it is processing a work order. So if it does occasionally become "active" then why isn't the account "active" for the times I've seen it processing work units?
It took me a few days to catch the software receiving and processing work units, then submitting them while in a PENDING account state (I won't get payment while in this status).
Has anyone dealt with the Gomez PEER before? Do you know how the pending/active payment method works?
I've dealt with Gomez before via their Browsercam server. I have nothing but good things to say about Browsercam. So I can't understand why their service is doing this.
