I am afraid of the future of computing because of what a broken closed system apple is popularizing with this.
I would be afraid of the future of mankind if it wasn't that I've known for ages that they are this stupid.
You know what? Every time I use a PC, whether it's running Linux, Windows, or whatever, I am reminded why I use a Mac as my main computer. I am plagued with problems, errors, bugs, and all sorts. Apple stuff seems to "just work" as they say. it's not completely flawless, but it's certainly a lot more reliable than the alternative.
Amazing that you probably think your post debunks mine while it actually proves it.
Power of anecdote: The only apple device I own is an 2G ipod nano, it is also the only of my small devices that crashes periodically. One time, it crashed in such a way that it stayed with back light on for 3 whole hours of a road trip I was having, by the time I reached my destination I couldn't use it since it consumed all the batteries thanks to the back light crash, thx apple for just working.
In what way? I was simply saying that Apple's closed system is a good thing in the eyes of the customer, which is a point proven by those sales numbers. It's only geeks like us who could possibly care about how open the systems are, but customers don't care because said systems aren't as reliable and easy to use.
So one Apple device going wrong (it was probably faulty, and did you ever even try restoring it?) = the whole company being bad, in your logic?
I own loads of PCs and loads of Macs and assorted Apple gadgets, along with non-Apple ones, and I've found my Apple stuff to be much higher quality and more steardy than the alternative products.
