Is anyone else interested in HeLa cells?
I began reading a book on them a few days ago and I am absolutely, 100% fascinated with them. Want to learn everything about them.
New special interest, possibly.

Immortality for Helen, of a sort. Lasting fame at least.

I googled it because I wanted to make sure I remembered what I had learned over 30 years ago and was aggravated to see the name was Henrietta Lacks when I remembered it as Helen Lane. Well, this article explains a lot and mentions the book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. I remembered the name of the Hela cells as Helen Lane cancer cells because that's what they were called to provide privacy for Henrietta when I was a student.
