None nightmarish domain hosting?

Is there such thing as a nice domain host that does not cause any kind of a nightmare?
I just want a simple, quality & friendly interfaced domain service.

Mmm...what kind of nightmares are we talking about? There are domain problems and domain disastsers...give us an idea of what you're looking for.

When I want to cancel. They wont bully me into not doing it.
I have hard loads of stories about this kind of thing happening.
I want simple good service that I can trust for something that could become successful.
Basicly as stress free as possible

Like I said elsewhere, just cancel the payment. You're in charge, whether they like it or not.

Would a potentially huge idea be ok with the responsibility of 123 Reg? Because my idea might take off.
If I get round to finishing it, would I be allowed to show it to the users here?

They're responsible for registering the domain name and once that's been done they don't really need to have anything more to do with it except maintain a DNS entry and remind you when the registration is due for renewal.
That, plus keeping the other services they provide operational. I doubt they're very interested in what you do with them - if anything at all, if they're just the free services on offer.

If you want them to also host what you're planning then that would be a different matter - and also something more professional and with guaranteed service levels, unlike their current free stuff.
Excellent though that is, one can't realistically expect as much support effort to be put into that as the 'paid-for' services like site hosting.

The cleanest and most efficient method would be to attach a couple of lines, including a link to the site, in your signature. Many WP users already do this.
