I assume you own Acrobat pro, not Acrobat Reader (the free one)
There's a "typewriter" button in Tools > Typewriter, click it and then drag the mouse to create a text area, then type there.
line is in Tools > Line
btw there're also some free alternatives like Foxit
If you have a Mac you don't need anything else and is 100% easier, just open the file in Preview and use the tools in View > Show annotation toolbars
Its an office computer. HP
I think it's Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4 I'm not a computer person at all. I never added in text or line in any PDF files before at work. I have 16 PDFs to do it too. The text size has to be red, bolded and very tiny. Probably 8 font. The PDF is in a 11 X 17 landscape format. I wish I can show the PDF but I am a contractor with Fed Gov and showing this PDF to anyone outside of the division would be wrong. No one taught me how to do it. But when I asked the person who handed me a task to show me how to do one for example, he refused. He told me to figure it out on my own. So that's why I came on this forum because I know this forum is very helpful. This forum is just about my only way to get help. All of you understand what it is like to be autistic no matter how mild or major the spectrum is. I deal with bigots at work.

When I am given a new task at work, I want someone to show me how to do one for example and sit down with me and guide me. I don't know if it's the aspergers or learning disability. This person that refuses to help me is the same person earlier in the year who said an ignorant comment. Read my post on Working.
